Xing Wan

Xing Wan is a partner in DaHui Lawyers' dispute resolution practice with more than two decades of experience representing multinational corporations and major Chinese enterprises in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.

Xing has secured dozens of reversal victories in second-instance and retrial proceedings before the Supreme People's Court and the High People's Courts of Beijing, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Guangdong, Henan, Hainan, and Inner Mongolia, including a number of decisions rendered after deliberation by the courts' adjudication committees. These matters span disputes over equity transfers, mergers and acquisitions of listed companies, equity repurchases, construction projects, mining rights, and land use.

In financial, investment, and asset management disputes, Xing has handled matters involving securities misrepresentation, fund contracts, asset management plans, investor suitability, repurchases, shortfall top-up (makeup) arrangements, rigid redemption (implicit guarantee) arrangements, listed-company guarantees, OTC derivatives, equity income rights trusts, financial loans and guarantees, and other investment, financing, and guarantee transactions, with an aggregate amount in dispute exceeding RMB 10 billion.

His court and arbitration appearances include acting for Boeing, Bayer, Panasonic, GE, Baker Hughes, John Deere, Volvo, RELX, CICC, CSC, SAIF Partners, and GSR Ventures among others.

Since 2022, both Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500 have recognized Xing as a recommended lawyer for dispute resolution in Greater China. He holds LL.M. degrees from Southern Methodist University and Peking University, as well as an LL.B. from China University of Political Science and Law, and is admitted to the PRC Bar.
