DaHui Appears on PrivacyRules’ Podcast to Discuss China’s Newly Relaxed Data Transfer Regulations

DaHui Lawyers’ Dimitri Phillips recently appeared on the latest episode of “privacy espresso”, the podcast hosted by PrivacyRules, the world’s first and unique leading professional alliance of data privacy experts from the legal and tech disciplines. DaHui is the alliance’s exclusive law firm for China.

In the podcast, available on LinkedIn, YouTube, and Spotify as well as PrivacyRules’ website, Dimitri and “privacy espresso” host Alessandro Di Mattia go over the key points of China’s tricky regulations for cross-border transfers of personal information and introduce the welcome exemptions and other easing to the rules announced last month. International corporations stand to benefit heavily from the regulatory relaxation, as they may now be able to carry out many common data transfers without undertaking the dreaded “standard contract filings” and “security assessments” set up by PRC law in recent years.

DaHui has leveraged unparalleled expertise in data protection and cybersecurity since the earliest days of these areas of law in China and advised innumerable MNCs and other companies on navigating the rapidly changing regulatory landscape. We also regularly contribute to premier resource centers such as PrivacyRules and OneTrust and are ranked, in data protection as well as myriad other practices, by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, and others. Many thanks to PrivacyRules for having us on the show!
