As the Managing Partner of DaHui Lawyers, Richard oversees the firm’s operations and strategy, devoting energy to team building as well as to client management.

With more than 15 years of experience, Richard represents multinationals and large Chinese companies in capital market financings, mergers & acquisitions, investments and compliance matters. Focusing on investments in “new economy” industries, such as IT & telecoms, media & entertainment and education, he has served as the team leader for hundreds of successfully closed transactions, commercial ventures and regulatory projects. Richard particularly excels in devising practical and creative solutions to resolve transactional complications, which are frequent in China due to its complex and rapidly developing legal system and unique business environment. Richard is also one of China’s preeminent lawyers for outbound investment, having advised many private and state-owned PRC entities on their comprehensive outbound strategies. 

Richard is fluent in both English and Chinese.
